Robert Buckland: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps his Department has taken in response to the political situation in the Maldives; and if he will make a statement.

Robert Buckland: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with his counterparts in (a) the EU, (b) the Commonwealth, (c) the US, (d) the UN, (e) the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation and (f) other countries on the political situation in the Maldives.

Robert Buckland: My hon. Friend knows, given the representations I have made to him, among others, about the desperate need for stability on the question of solar installations. Will he assure me that the outcome of the consultation process will represent the Government’s settled policy on this matter for the years ahead?

Robert Buckland: Last week, I took part in a panel auditioning for participants in a new production of “Swindon: The Opera”. Will the Minister join me in congratulating the Janice Thompson Performance Trust on an admirable project that will help to showcase the cultural richness of Swindon?

Robert Buckland: To ask the Secretary of State for Education what assessment he has made of the effect of his proposals for phonics screening at age six on children's development.

Robert Buckland: To ask the Secretary of State for Education what support his Department plans to provide to teachers to administer the proposals on phonics screening at age six; and whether any such support will include information on how to interpret the results.

Robert Buckland: Is not the lesson of the disclosure debacle in the Lynette White case this: when criminal allegations are made against police officers in one police force, disclosure should be handled by officers from an entirely independent police force? Will my hon. and learned Friend do all he can to ensure that such reforms take place so that such a disaster does not happen again?

Robert Buckland: To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government whether he plans to commission a review of planning legislation relating to mobile telephone masts.
